the manhattan series is inspired by a recent phenomenon in new york city of building very tall and slender residential structures known as super slim towers. the series is composed of slender assembled square wood blocks with acrylic paint. the blocks thrust upward creating vertical punctuation points evoking the effect the super slim towers have on the majestic new york city skyline.
