stearn’s county had outgrown their historic neo-classical courthouse built in 1926. the county decided to build a new building behind the historic building and convert and restore the historic courthouse into a court’s facility only. restoration included: repair of exterior brick and terra cotta; replacement of sixties era windows with new multi paned windows to match the original; and restoration of the historic courtroom which had a suspended ceiling covering the original coffered ceiling and a skylight.
