the los angeles hall of justice was damaged in the 1994 northridge earthquake. mr. olschlager was part of a consultant team retained by the county of los angeles as a historic preservation consultant to do a fema damage survey report of the aftermath. mr. olschlager developed a program for repairs to the building’s exterior stone, terra cotta and windows. mr. olschlager developed a program for retention of important interior spaces including the main lobby, corridors, bathrooms, and three historic courtrooms. the remainder of the building interiors underwent adaptive reuse for the county sheriff’s office.
